Herbal Tea for COVID-19 Symptom Relief

One of the preventative measures to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19 or other illnesses is the use of herbal teas. The included herbs help moisturize the respiratory tract mucosa and stimulate the production of secretions rich in lysozyme (an enzyme that destroys microbes).

Ingredients:

• Meadowsweet herb – anti-aggregant action

• Yellow melilot herb – anticoagulant action

• Birch leaves – support for liver and kidney function

• Linden flowers – for reducing fever

• Licorice root – to modulate immune response and promote expectoration

• Calamus root – antiviral action

• Burdock root – antiviral action

• Sage herb – antiviral and anti-inflammatory action

• St. John’s wort herb – antiviral and anti-inflammatory action

• Wormwood herb – antiviral action

Usage:
Pour 3 glasses of hot water over two tablespoons of the herbal tea blend in a thermos and let it steep for 10–12 hours. If a thermos is not available, simmer slowly for 10 minutes. Drink one glass 3 times a day before meals.
